Casual Pace and Other Lies

Cyclists lie a lot. Like what they tell their spouses that those bike parts cost (hint, multiply by two). And when they say the ride starts “promptly” at 9:00 (try 9:15 sweaty).

My favorite lie is that the group ride will be at a “casual pace.” Ha! You know what that means – rest up, because they’re going to rip you legs off.
